Railways laid the foundation stone of the electrification of the 97 km Ara-Sasaram rail route, a foot overbridge at Ara, Kulhariya, Koilwar and Karisath stations in Bihar. The electrification of Ara-Sasaram rail route will not only help to minimise the time consumed in travelling from Ara to Sasaram, it will also lessen the distance between Patna and Sasaram. |

Railways’ first disaster management village at Hejjal village, 25 km from Bengaluru, is nearing its completion which is set to be a virtual reality centre to analyse rail accidents. This is the first time, Railways is setting up such a facility to minimise accidents in the country. |
