Railways laid the foundation stone of the electrification of the 97 km Ara-Sasaram rail route, a foot overbridge at Ara, Kulhariya, Koilwar and Karisath stations in Bihar. The electrification of Ara-Sasaram rail route will not only help to minimise the time consumed in travelling from Ara to Sasaram, it will also lessen the distance between Patna and Sasaram.
