Corona Outbreak: Cancellation of Passenger train Services till 31.03.2020
All passenger train services including Premium trains, Mail/Express trains, Passenger trains, Suburban Trains, Kolkata Metro Rail, Konkan Railway etc shall be cancelled till the 2400hrs of 31.03.2020. To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, movement of Goods trains will continue. To make it more convenient for passengers, full refund for all cancelled trains may be taken till 21.06.2020.

Indian Railways relaxes Refund Rules for PRS counter generated tickets
For trains cancelled by Railways for journey period 21 March - 21 June 2020, refund across counters can be taken on submission of ticket upto 3 (three) months from date of journey. (Instead of the extant rule of 3 days/ 72 hours excluding day of journey). This relaxation is for 3 months journey period i.e from 21st March - 21st June 2020.

Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways reviews the progress of the preparedness of all the zones to prevent Coronavirus
Chairman, Railway Board briefed the Minister of Railways on the measures taken as a part of the National efforts in fighting the CoronaVirus like Creation of Quarantine facilities & Help Desks, cleanliness & awareness measures etc. The Minister specifically directed that the additional measures like Creation of COVID-19 Online Dashboard & Rapid response team, be immediately taken to continuously monitor the work on this front
