India wants equitable terms in our trade relations with various countries: Piyush Goyal at WEF Davos 2020

Speaking at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways Piyush Goyal said India is committed to safeguarding the interest of its people while welcoming investors from across the world by making regulations easier for them. Referring to India's decision to pull out of the RCEP, he said that India demonstrated that trade cannot be dictated by diplomacy.

Government notifies National Startup Advisory Council

The Central Government has notified the structure of the National Startup Advisory Council to advise the Government on measures needed to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation and startups in the country. The National Startup Advisory Council will be chaired by Minister for Commerce & Industry and will consist of the non-official members from various categories like founders of successful startups, etc.

Government will soon come out with industrial package for J&K - a 'Jewel' of the Country : Piyush Goyal

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways Piyush Goyal said the Centre would come out with an industrial package for the UT soon and expressed hope that it would attract large amounts of investment to the valley. Startup India Tableau in Republic Day 2020

Recognised Agri-products testing laboratories reach 186; Recognition of laboratories simplified by APEDA

The number of laboratories have increased in states with exporting potential like Maharashtra (35), Gujarat (23), Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (10), Tamil Nadu (23) and Karnataka (17). This will enable the exporters to have an easy access to the laboratories for testing of APEDA scheduled products for exports.
