A superfast fully air-conditioned Kashi Mahakal Express will connect places related to three Jyotirlingas- Omkareshwar near Indore, Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain, and Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi besides also connecting the industrial and educational hub of Indore and Bhopal. The train will operate thrice a week between Varanasi and Indore: once via Prayagraj (Allahabad) and twice via Lucknow.

East West Metro, a gift to Kolkatans by Indian Railways, is equipped with modern facilities to ensure reduced travel time & best in class service for passengers. It is India's first ever transportation project where metro trains will ply under river, which will not only decongest the traffic but will also transform the lives of people living along the Hooghly river. Various other Railway projects over Eastern, South Eastern and North East Frontier Railway were also dedicated to the Nation.

The 13 station buildings of South Central Railway (SCR) will be capable of meeting 100% energy requirements through Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) panels. The anticipated energy generation from these stations comes to around 1.3 lakh units annually and it is expected that solar power will also lead to savings of ₹13 lakh each year.

Electrification of this route will reduce the journey of goods trains from 4 hours to 6 hours. At the same time, main line EMU trains can also be run on this route instead of the conventional passenger trains.
