The key relaxations pertaining to the DoC include the facilitations under Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20, facilitations for SEZ Units, various facilitations provided by ECGC, APEDA, Tobacco Board, Tea Board, MPEDA, DGTR, Measures taken by Government e-Marketplace (GeM) to facilitate procurement of Covid-19 items & Measures taken by Department to facilitate Preferential Exports in the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Electronic filing & Issuance of Preferential Certificate of Origin for India's Exports expanded under various FTAs/PTAs w.e.f. 07th April 2020
As per the Trade Notice No. 01/2020-2021, the Online Platform for Preferential Certificate of Origin has been further expanded to take up various other FTAs/PTAs. The platform has been designed as a single-point access for all FTAs/PTAs, for all designated Certificate of Origin (CoO) issuing agencies and for all export products, and is accessible at: https://coo.dgft.gov.in. Existing facility allowed to apply & issue Certificate of Origin only for exports to Chile, Nepal and Republic of Korea.

Shri Piyush Goyal interacted with the Industry & traders Associations; assured them that the Ministry is working to solve their problems
Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways Shri Piyush Goyal interacted with 14 industry & trade associations to assess on-the-ground situation & problems being faced by them in the wake of Covid-19 lockdown. The industry associations appraised the status & progress made in the last few days, as a result of the similar meetings. While hearing their issues, he said that stress on the economy & livelihood has to be protected, but saving the lives of the people of the country is of prime importance. He assured that their concerns are being taken up with various ministries.

Calling upon the exporters to think big, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways Shri Piyush Goyal said that if we improve our quality, build capacity, bring in economies of scale, improve price competitiveness, then we can grow and harness the potential in the post-Covid world. He assured that efforts will be made to ensure that urgent & important export orders, stuck for any reason, fructify at the earliest. He added that the Ministry is working aggressively to get the exports revitalized, looking for export opportunities to expand.
