Ease of getting seats in unreserved coaches- Railways rolls out biometric system for general passengers

Railways has for the first time introduced a system of biometric identification to guarantee seats in general class unreserved coaches on a first come first serve basis. Passengers will have to get their fingerprints scanned at the biometric machine, after which a token will be generated in line with the number of seats which will help them to easily board the compartments without any hassle.

 
 

Sticky solution helping Railways prevent track-passing

Railways is preventing people from crossing the tracks by greasing the fences that separate the tracks at railway platforms. No trespassing deaths have been reported at Dadar station since mid-February 2019 which used to rank second-highest among all Central Railway stations in terms of trespassing.
