IRCTC signs an MoU with KSTDC to run the Golden Chariot Train
IRCTC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) in New Delhi on 19 November 2019 to market and operate the Golden Chariot Train. IRCTC is planning a revamp of the train itineraries also to add different flavours that Karnataka has to offer. IRCTC is expected to carry out internal refurbishment of the train and commence operations from March 2020. This train will boost the tourism in Southern India.

Railways launches "Heritage Week" Special Tour Package from Mumbai to Ahmedabad
On the occasion of World Heritage Week 2019 being observed from 19th to 25th November 2019, IRCTC is launching "Heritage Week" Special Tour Package ex Mumbai starting from 22nd to 25th November 2019. The unique feature of the package is that it will explore the heritage and culture of Gujarat. The tour will cover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of "Rani ki Vav", famous Modhera Sun Temple, and the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. The group will also be taken to Statue of Unity, the tallest monument of the world.

High level review meeting with GMs & DRMs of Zonal Railways
Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry held a high level review meeting with all General Managers of Zonal Railways/PUs and DRMs through Video Conferencing on 20.11.2019. The Agenda of the meeting covered performance review till Oct, 2019. Minister complimented Zonal Railways for improving punctuality. The Minister emphasized General Managers to take initiatives and interact with industry to increase freight loading by attracting new traffic & directed them to explore new innovative ideas to increase earning through Non Fare Revenue and other Coaching heads like parcel.

Meeting with the European Union delegation & an India-European Union Seminar on Common Rail Issues
A delegation led by Ms Violeta Bulc, Commissioner, Mobility & Transport in European Union met Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry on 20th November 2019. The Minister emphasized that Indian Railways is making rapid strides with focus on large infrastructure projects and intends to focus on 'Make in India' for new products and technologies from European Union so as to create investment & employment opportunities for Indian people. The India-European Union Seminar on 'Common Rail Issues' was held on 19th November 2019 between Indian Railways and a high-level delegation of European Union's Mobility & Transport Division, Standardization Division and other Experts with focus on Railway Reforms and Regulations, Railway Safety and Technology (Signaling, including ERTMS), Procurement & Standardization and Digitization and Innovation
