‘Designed in UK - Made in India’ strategy for India-UK partnership in research and services : India – UK JETCO meet held in London
Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways, Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that both India & UK have huge potential to expand economic ties further and leapfrog to newer heights, with JETCO to play a huge role in this. India & UK agreed to set up three new bilateral working groups to tackle barriers in specific sectors including food & drink, healthcare and data services.

India and Italy set up Fast –Track Mechanism to facilitate investors and Companies
The key objectives of the fast – track system in India will be to pave the way for and identify & solve problems faced by Italian companies and investors with their operations in India. The system will also serve as a platform for discussing general suggestions from the point of view of Italian companies and investors with regard to ease of doing business in India.

Proposed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement - Sector specific meetings held for Industry inputs
Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways, Piyush Goyal interacted with representatives from various export promotion councils such as engineering, auto, chemical, pharmaceutical, leather, agriculture, marine & food processing, dairy, copper, zinc, aluminium, textiles and gems in separate meetings in Mumbai to discuss their specific concerns on the RCEP.

Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES) - Providing assistance in creation of appropriate infrastructure for growth of exports from the States
The Scheme (launched from FY 2017-18) provides financial assistance in the form of grant-in-aid to Central/State Government owned agencies for setting up or for up-gradation of export infrastructure. Under the TIES Scheme, a total of 28 export infrastructure projects have been provided financial assistance during FY 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 (as on 1st July, 2019).

Protocol of Phytosanitary requirements with China, to boost export of FCV tobacco to China
The protocol will push overall export of FCV tobacco, primarily produced in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, to China. The protocol was signed on 21.01.2019 and the same will be in force for a period of four years from the date of signing of the protocol.

U.P.’s Mangoes in Italy - First Trial Shipment dispatched
For the first time, a trial shipment of 10 tonnes of mangoes (North Indian mango variety of Chausa) was sent by sea on 15th July, 2019 from the Uttar Pradesh Mandi Parishad Pack House, Malihabad, Lucknow to Italy. The shipment was financially supported by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
