Railways Launches 09 'Sewa Service' Trains

Railways launched 09 'Sewa Service' trains on 15th October 2019. These Sewa trains will provide connectivity to the far-flung areas where stoppages of premiere trains were not possible. Out of these 9 trains, four trains will run on a daily basis and other five, 6 days a week. It is a unique concept to start these trains with layover/spare rakes as a part of 'sweating of assets' initiative by the Indian Railways.

Railways to Run a Buddhist Circuit Train between India and Nepal

Railways has decided to run a Buddhist Circuit train from October 19-26, 2019. The train journey will cover important Buddhist destinations such as Lumbini, Bodhgaya, Sarnath, Kushinagar significant to Gautam Buddha's life in both India and Nepal. The train will take passengers from Safdarjung railway station in New Delhi and will end its journey at Safdarjung railway station itself.

Prithvi Sekhar, who belongs to the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai has bagged a gold medal in the men's final of the World Deaf Tennis Championship held in Turkey. His impressive performance will inspire countless others. Prithvi had also won the doubles bronze medal with Prashanth Dasharath Harsambhavi and was also part of the Indian Railways team that bagged gold in the World Railways Tennis Championship held in Albena, Bulgaria.
