Tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji- 'Sarbat Da Bhala Express' flagged off
On the occasion of the 550th Birth Anniversary of "Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji" Railways flagged off the extension of train no. 12037/12038 New Delhi- Ludhiana Intercity Express upto Lohian Khas (via Jalandhar) with new number and name (22479/22480 "Sarbat Da Bhala" Express) on 4th October 2019 at New Delhi station. The new train will serve the Sikh pilgrims visiting Sultanpur Lodhi & will run five days a week except Monday and Saturday.

Railways released 'Stations' Cleanliness Survey Report'
Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal released the 'Stations' Cleanliness Survey Report' (Cleanliness assessment of Non-suburban and Suburban Stations 2019) in an event to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi at a function organized in New Delhi Railway Station. He also went around the Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi and displays of Tools & Equipments used for cleaning purposes. He also inaugurated an exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi at National Rail Museum through Video Conferencing.

India's first 'Corporate Train', Tejas Express flagged off from Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the Tejas Express, the country's first "Corporate" train run by its subsidiary IRCTC, on the Lucknow-New Delhi route on 4th October 2019. With 25 lakh free insurance, compensation on delay, on board staff, food, refreshments and air travel experience, this train will change the experience of traveling in the country.

Railways started Rail bus service again between Mathura & Vrindavan
Railways has once again started the Railbus service between Mathura-Vrindavan for the devotees coming to Mathura-Vrindavan. This railbus service reaches Vrindavan via the entire Mathura city. The fare from Mathura to Vrindavan is kept at just Rs 10 and the service is available every hour. The Rail bus operates on a meter gauge for about 12 kilometers between Mathura to Vrindavan.
