Railways has opened a 3-km long bridge and 3 additional tracks on the Dhanbad-Mughalsarai route, thereby increasing transit of Coal Rakes by about 25%

Recently, an over 3 kilometres long bridge with 3 Railways tracks, equipped with advance signalling features on river Son has been commissioned on Grand chord route, linking Dhanbad in Jharkhand to Mughalsarai in Uttar Pradesh. The move will increase transit of Coal Rakes by about 25% and ensure ample production of electricity to meet India's growing energy needs.

Railways has ordered all its Zones to procure linen items from Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), days after instructions were issued to Varanasi and Raebareli to use terracotta kulhads from the Government organisation in stations to serve tea and other items.
