Eligible candidates can apply online for these posts at various units of Indian Railways by visiting Railway Recruitment Board website. |

| Railways has now decided to provide ‘Rakshak’, a personal safety device to trackmen, along with their usual boots, gloves, rain coats, winter jackets and tool kit. ‘Rakshak’ is a handheld walkie-talkie device which provides alerts through LED indication along with a buzzer and vibration of approaching trains which would help trackmen move away from tracks. |

| Central Railway (CR) authorities have decided to stop charging Re 1 from commuters for using the urinals installed at CR stations, a practice which began in 2016. The move will give impetus to 'Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat' mission and encourage passengers to use public toilets. |
