| Ministry of Coal has taken a major initiative to curb illegal mining by developing ‘Coal Mine Surveillance & Management System (CMSMS) and ‘Khan Prahari’ App. The basic objective of CMSMS is reporting, monitoring and taking suitable action on unauthorised coal mining activities and Khan Prahari is a tool for reporting any activity taking place related to illegal coal mining like rat hole mining, pilferage etc. |

| Ministry of Railways has decided that while undertaking journey in a train, if a passenger shows the Aadhaar/Driving Licence from the ‘Issued Documents’ section by logging into his/her DigiLocker account, the same should be considered as valid proof of identity. |
